Bird Tooling Solutions Ltd was founded in 2003 by Doug Bird, Managing Director. Previously Doug ran Bird Mould & Tool Co Ltd for 27 years, manufacturing moulds for rubber automotive sealing systems, plastic components and aluminum die cast tools. The company employed up to 30 staff before its acquisition in 1992 by Standard Products Ltd. Doug is a recognised member of the mould making industry, having begun as a shop floor apprentice. He graduated progressively from tooling and production engineering to launching his first business in 1965.
